Elkin Creek Vineyard’s 2nd Annual Family Arts Festival

The 2nd Annual Family Arts Festival will take place Saturday May 31st. This all-day arts adventure at Elkin Creek Vineyard includes “playshops” for the kids ranging from dance to songwriting and theatre games to martial arts. An all-day arts project will be led by Elkin’s Art Council. The day starts at 10am and culminates with a creek-side concert from the kids band Lunch Money at 3:30pm (the lead singer, Molly Ledford, will be leading the songwriting playshop at 1pm). Leave the city and travel 45 minutes to this gorgeous setting where kids can explore the arts and engage their creativity. Food and handmade ice cream will be for sale or bring your own picnic lunch. Tickets: $15/child (ages 3-16), $5/adult, children 2 and under are free. For complete details about the day, visit www.elkincreekvineyard.com, email carrie@elkincreek.com or call 336-526-5119.

Support your locally owned neighborhood business and get something in return!

Cloverdale Ace Hardware owners, Doug and Betsy Brown, want to provide an incentive for their neighbors to send in their contractors, painters & landscapers, to shop local and think of Cloverdale Ace as their supply source. As you are evaluating bids for renovating your home, landscaping your yard or freshening up your paint this summer, send your contractors in to see Betsy and Doug. All they have to do is mention your name, spend $100, and open a business account. Ace will give $100 credit toward future purchases. Ace offers contractor pricing rates and accounts for ease of billing. Doug and Betsy will also match big box pricing where they can, as well as offer delivery to job sites! They can order almost any product carried at the big box and can have it in stock within three days. Why have your contractors giving their business to the big box when you can support your neighbors, save money yourself and keep the investment in the community? ShopCloverdale Ace Hardware!
