MoM_SummerCamp2017 (2)If you have a rising 3rd-6th grade student that desires to grow and develop their singing abilities, attend Connections Summer Music Camp. The camp will be held August 14-18 from 9am – 2pm at Grace Baptist Church. Dr. Sonja Sepulveda, who has taught music and directed choirs and orchestras all over the world, will teach students to sing, learn solfege, music theory and dance, play instruments and integrate other disciplines such as history and science.

Students will also learn about the style, music, traditions and instruments of American Folk music and music of other cultures such as Africa and Mexico.  A special concert will be performed at the end of the week showcasing all of their musical talent. Campers will have the opportunity to audition that week to be a part of the WS Youth Chorus for the upcoming season. Call 703-0001 or visit their website www.wsyouthchorus.org to register.

This season, The Mosquito Authority of the Triad is thrilled to announce it has joined forces with Bayer, the trusted brand of everyday necessities like aspirin and sunscreen.  This relationship guarantees they are able to provide the best mosquito control solutions and, ultimately, a happier, healthier backyard to enjoy with your loved ones.

If you enjoy playing, cooking out and relaxing in your yard, then it’s time to fight these annoying bloodsuckers once and for all with help from Mosquito Authority! Due to concerns about a variety of mosquito-borne diseases, eliminating early breeders, treating habitat and establishing protection around your home are particularly important this year. Mosquito Authority’s comprehensive program breaks the mosquito life cycle to keep the disease-carrying pests out of your yard – and your life – all season long. Be sure to visit their giveaway page on TMoM HERE to enter for your chance to WIN TWO free treatments! Two winners will be announced on April 30.
