Enrichment Classes for Children 18 months – 3 years

Greensboro Day School is excited to announce the 2018-19 Bengal Tots classes. This program is for children ages 18 months to 3 years old with their parent or caregiver. Upcoming classes will take place November 8, 19, and 28. To see the full schedule and to register, go to greensboroday.org/bengaltots.

Classes include age-appropriate activities to nurture young children’s social/emotional and cognitive learning development using language, science, art, and music. Children will rotate between stations led by GDS teachers, participate in an interactive story, and parents will leave with information how to incorporate similar activities at home. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children benefit from more time spent in active play and early education helps to develop the important social/emotional and language skills that are vital to healthy brain development.

Mark Your Calendar for the Next Girlology Puberty Program

Children today are facing puberty at younger ages while they’re also exposed to sexualized images and messages through media and the Internet. Introducing Girlology: A non-profit organization providing age-appropriate, medically accurate, and cringe-free parent-child programs on puberty. Thousands of families in over 20 states attend Girlology yearly, and since 2017, Novant Health has been a partner, reaching over 1,000 people in North Carolina and Virginia

The next Girlology puberty program geared towards girls in 4th and 5th grade is on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center, from 2 PM – 4 PM.  Registration is $50 per pair and includes the Girlology book ‘There’s Something New About You’.  Visit www.girlology.com to register.  Questions?
