99.5 WMAG Brenner Children’s Radiothon

brenner-hero

What is a hero? Someone who makes a difference in the world. Every day at Brenner Children’s Hospital, the doctors, nurses and staff work to improve the lives of sick and injured children, but they can’t succeed without help —YOUR help.

Mark your calendar for the 13th annual WMAG Brenner Children’s Radiothon on December 1st and 2nd, 2016. On-air personalities Lora Songster, Gary Nolan, and Lizz Ryals will host the event, which will be broadcast from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Local celebrities will be answering phones to help reach this year’s fundraising goal of $150,000. Tune in to learn how becoming a Brenner HERO can help a child and their family, to give back to their community, to hear stories of triumph and sorrow, and to learn how Brenner Children’s Hospital changes lives in our community and region.

Be a hero, give to Brenner Children’s Hospital Fund today.

Cover the City

15079053_10155430490883032_3309937555924207445_nThe Greensboro Center for Pediatric Dentistry is hosting a blanket drive for the Cover the City Project! Cover the City Project was started in 2013 when the founder realized that several people who she was helping in shelters needed some type of warmth throughout the winter months in the shelter and even outside of the shelters. CTC is an annual blanket drive held every November to help shelters all over with the need of blankets. A blanket is something so small and you think everyone has one but most of the time they don’t. The Greensboro Center for Pediatric Dentistry is located at 5408 West Friendly Avenue. They will be collecting new or gently used blankets, from November 14th-30th, during office hours. (Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm) Help them #coverthecity, and help someone in need keep warm this winter!

Our Non-Profit Directory

helpinghandIn case you haven’t noticed, TMoM has an extensive Directory page, where you can find information on just about anything mom-related in the Triad. One of our directories is a list of places where you can volunteer. Check it out here! This directory was compiled last year, and we are in the process of updating it once again. Feel free to browse the listings and contact venues that you might be able to help. If you notice a non-profit that is not listed, please email Katie@triadmomsonmain.com with the necessary information and she will add it to our directory.
