PINOCCHIO
The North Carolina Theatre for Young People presents PINOCCHIO, adapted by Greg Banks at UNCG’s Taylor Theatre, 406 Tate Street. From the moment Gepetto creates him from a stick of wood, Pinocchio dreams of being a real boy. But will the all-too-tempting delights of puppet shows and Playland be too much for Pinocchio? Appropriate for ages 3 and up. Tickets are on sale at Triad Stage located at 232 South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro –phone is 336-272- 0160 and Box Office hours are 10 am- 6 pm Monday-Friday. Tickets are also sold one hour prior to each performance in the lobby of Taylor Theatre. Performances are at 7:30 pm on March 20 & 21; 2 pm on March 20 & 22; and 9:30 am on March 24-27; and 12 noon on March 25-27. Tickets range from $8-16 per person. Start Getting Ready for Summer at the Y!
It’s hard to believe, but summer is just around the corner. Whether your child is looking to make new friends, improve sports skills, learn to shoot a bow and arrow, or just have a great time, the Y has the answer! YMCA Summer Day Camp is centered on core character values, learning and fun. Each day includes a reading program, special activities like swimming and field trips (depending on the camp), and age- appropriate, camper-centered group activities, all in a safe environment. New this year, all Y camps will include a special STEM focus to keep campers learning all summer long! Options are available for preschool, elementary, and teens at various branches. Speed Dating for Single Parents
Triad Moms on Main is happy to host a Speed Dating for Single Parents event! This event is specifically for single moms and dads in the Triad area in their 30’s and 40’s. The event will be held Thursday, April 23rd at 7pm at the Old Winston Social Club. The cost is listed as $29, but if you use the special Triad Moms on Main code “LOVEMYKIDS” you can buy a ticket for just $20!
