Ready to sign your child up for a sport, art class, riding lessons or dance class?  Start here!  We have recently updated and added to this list of our readers' favorite sports programs and after-school activities in the area.  This is a list that will just keep on growing, so check back often to see new programs that have been added.  (This list can always be found by clicking the Directories tab at the top of the website.) If there is a group you would like to see added to this list, please email Rachel@triadmomsonmain.com. On the flip side, if you see a program that is no longer offered, please let us know that as well so we can keep our list as current as possible.

Description of activities/classes/sports:
Snowplow classes are for our youngest skaters. These classes focusing on fun while teaching basic skating skills.  Hockey classes teach students how to skate in hockey skates in order to build a strong foundation for game play.  Our Basic (Basic 1-8) and Adult Classes (1-4) teach skating fundamentals beginning with gliding, stopping, turning and edges and advancing to jumps and spins.  We happily pro-rate classes for late enrollment and we offer a $10 sibling discount (1st child pays full price, all subsequent children receive a $10 discount).  Our Learn to Skate classes follow US Figure Skating's Basic Skills curriculum and our rink is an Excellence on Ice facility as endorsed by the Professional Skaters Association.

Description: The Central Carolina Children's Chorus is a multi-level, auditions choir program for singers ages Kindergarten through 12th grade from Winston-Salem and surrounding areas. Description:  THE CHILDREN’S THEATRE PLAYHOUSE began as ACT at the Little Theatre of Winton-Salem in 1969 and has continued to develop and grow. Today, the PLAYHOUSE reaches over 300 students from Pre-K to high school and offers a broad array of opportunities in theatre education for our community. During the school year, THE PLAYHOUSE offers three sessions of eight weeks, each meeting once per week. These classes are age specific and rooted in principles of acting, creative dramatics, story telling and theatrical production. They may be taken in succession or on an individual basis. Each class will end with an informal showcase in the last hour of the final class of the session.

The Winston-Salem Youth Chorus is dedicated to educating the talented and diverse youth of our community in music and choral skills while offering them abundant opportunities to share their talents locally and beyond. A variety of performance opportunities are available, including an average of five concerts per semester, collaborations with other choirs, Piedmont Opera, the Winston-Salem Symphony, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.  Solo performance opportunities are also available.  All of these activities help our singers gain a music experience unlike any other that prepares them for a lifetime of music enrichment.  Most importantly, the chorus brings together children from many backgrounds who learn teamwork and build lasting friendships, all centered around the universal language of music.  Our singers truly represent the diversity and the excellence of our community.

Description:  The Winston-Salem Youth Hockey Association is a non-profit volunteer organization.
