Yeah! It’s Consignment Season… Why Try WeeRuns?
We hear this question frequently…and our response is because WeeRuns is very different!
First, as a consignor, it does take time to prepare items for consignment. So consignors want to make sure their efforts pay off…literally! WeeRuns offers its consignors a total of 17 days of exposure for their items to sell, between its private and public sale events. And 11 of those 17 days do not allow for discounts. No other sale in the area can do that! Read More

Remember when Bill Clinton was sworn in as our 42nd President? Women were allowed to fly planes for the Air Force for the first time? Microsoft launched a new operating system called Windows? Our favorite Billboard music was sung by Whitney Houston, Billy Ray Cyrus and Pearl Jam? Beanie Babies were all the rage and Schlinder’s List was the must-see movie at the theater? Folks watched Murphy Brown on TV at home, which on average costs $113,000 and salaries on average were $31,000. And gas…was $1.13 a gallon! If you do, that was 1993…seems like a long time ago, and it seems like just yesterday. But it was 18 years ago…the year WeeRuns was launched! WeeRuns broke new ground in High Point when no one even knew what “consignment” meant!
WeeRuns has been making friends and serving families for a long time…and that translates into something very critical: trust and stability. But that’s not what sets WeeRuns apart from all the fundraising consignment sales that have come on the scene in the past few years. WeeRuns has its own personality and is a lot of fun too. Why? A few months ago, I traveled to my home state of Rhode Island to visit my mother in the hospital. I stayed for a week and my father and I practically lived there. One take away I had from my time up there was a fascination with a brand of jewelry called Alex and Ani. These charmed bangles were worn by almost all of the nurses as well as my family members who came to visit that week. I decided to learn more about Alex and Ani during my visit to Rhode Island, as my curiosity peaked with the popularity of these bangles. Read More

Summer is half over. (Gulp) But now is the time to stock up on swimwear for your children for next summer! I know some of you are a little apprehensive about purchasing clothing for the future when you have no idea how much your child will grow over the next twelve months, but I have done this for years and more often than not, the clothes fit.
I usually buy one size up, and if it looks tiny, I will go two sizes up. Better to have something too big and put it back in the closet for another season, than too small and they never get to wear it. If you do end up ordering things that are too small by the time the next season rolls around, you can always consign! A bathing suit with tags still on it will sell!
Here are a few of my favorite children's clothing websites that currently have their swimwear on sale. Simply visit the site and click on the children's section and clearance/sale section! *Many of these have adult swimwear on sale, too! Read More

Well, maybe not these EXACT children, but when I bought a pair of TOMS shoes for my daughter last month, the company gave a new pair of shoes to a child in need. What a wonderful way to feel good about my purchase and help others!
I had seen TOMS shoes around for quite a while, but being the fast and furious shopper I have always been, I never took the time to read the story. My mom and I were in Bevello last month and spotted the most adorable pair of little girls' shoes. I then saw the TOMS sign and took a moment to read exactly what this company was all about. I immediately knew I wanted to share it with our readers, and figured since I did not know the entire story, maybe some of you do not either! Read More

It's the simple truth: I just don't spend a lot on my kids clothes. I wish I did, wish I could, but I just can't wrap my brain or wallet around spending a lot on clothes that will most likely end up stained, ripped, or outgrown in one season. We've been fortunate in that we still receive hand-me-downs that are in great shape as well as outfits every now and then from a Granny who loves to shop. So my shopping is usually to fill in here and there.
Even with the little shopping I do, I worry I will buy a size I think my child will be wearing, but when the season comes, lots of times it doesn't fit. So when I found www.SizeTracker.com on Consignment Mommies I was thrilled to have a tool that helps me shop smart. I can even shop end-of-season sales without worry (something I never dared before!). Check out my new favorite find... Read More
