Taylor Physical Therapy and Wellness

What is a pelvic floor physical therapist? What is a women’s health physical therapist? More importantly how can you benefit from seeing one?

A women’s health physical therapist is a specially trained doctor of physical therapy that cares for women during and after pregnancy and beyond! If you have back pain, pelvic pain, leaking, prolapse, or difficulty exercising you should be evaluated by a specialist. During the postpartum period, they can screen for diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, and prolapse. They help guide women when to safely return to exercise and how to have sexual intercourse (without pain!).

Dr. Katie Taylor is now seeing patients in Winston-Salem. Visit taylorptandwellness.com or call at (336) 310-5038 to chat about how they can help you! Follow on social media instagram.com/taylorptwellness or facebook.com/TaylorPTWellness.

Free Virtual Training for Teachers, Parents and Guardians

The pandemic has impacted childcare centers and families all over the country, and Early Childhood educators and providers everywhere are experiencing high levels of stress, fatigue, and burnout. Janet Howard, Director of Bringing Out the Best, says, “Even the best teachers need support once in a while and sometimes feel like they are on an island alone while in their classrooms. This feeling is most likely multiplied by a thousand while teaching during the pandemic.”

To help support teachers and educators, BOB is hosting a free, virtual training on Tuesday, February 23 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  In this training, EQ vs. IQ: Emotional Intelligence for Teachers and Learners, participants will learn the importance of emotional intelligence and how to teach children strategies that regulate emotions. BOB training sessions are free and available to all, including parents and guardians, and Guilford County professionals can register to earn 1.0 contact hour for each training.
