We’re thrilled to feature The Winston-Salem Symphony as they begin their 70th anniversary performance season in our community. Today we share news about their Discovery for Kids concerts (not-to-miss concerts that your children will love!), the announcement of a new symphony giveaway on TMoM (you won’t want to miss this one!), as well as the winner from the symphony’s last giveaway.

The Winston-Salem Symphony’s Discovery Concert for Kids 2016-2017 season kicks off Sunday, November 6 with a concert entitled “Salute to Superheroes.” Join Jessica Morel, Assistant Conductor, and the fabulous symphony musicians as they perform music that celebrates extraordinary strengths and honors big screen superheroes as well as local firefighters, police, and veterans in a special on-stage tribute! Come dressed in your superhero costume. The concert begins at 3 p.m. at Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem but the fun starts at 2 p.m. with hands-on activities such as making a superhero craft; a chance to visit with superhero characters; an opportunity to play musical instruments at the Instrument Petting Zoo; and so much more! Tickets are $18 for adults, $7 for children, call 336.464.0145 or visit WSsymphony.org. Donate new, unwrapped toys for children up to age 12 at this concert. The toys will be distributed through The Salvation Army’s Christmas Program.

The Winston-Salem Symphony
