Peppercorn Theatre ignites a fireside retelling of this classic adventure tale, based on the stories by Rudyard Kipling. In a tent under the stars, a group of friends conjure a storytelling experience full of the sounds and sights of the Piedmont’s wildest creatures. Shere Khan, the fearsome cougar; Bagheera, the maternal bobcat; Akela, the leader of the endangered red wolf pack; and Baloo, the lumbering black bear, accompany Mowgli on an imaginative adventure into the kudzu jungle. In their backyard wilderness, they discover the importance of finding your pack and the power of friendship.

The Jungle Book is recommended for ages 4 and up. Members: $8 per person; non-members $10 per person. Museum admission not included. (Group performances start April 2, and regular public performances start April 5.) You’re also invited to the Animal Party Premiere on Friday, April 5, at 5:30 pm!
