Deaf Awareness Family and Friends Day Cookout

This upcoming event will celebrate the Deaf community and Children of Deaf Adults and raise awareness on different disABILITIES!

The Deaf Awareness and Family and Friends Day Cookout will be held Sunday, August 8th, 2021 at 2:00 pm; Bur-Mil Park 5834 Bur-Mill Club Rd. Shelter #1 Greensboro.

There will be free food, swimming, bounce house,  a bookbag and school supply giveaway and lots of fun! We will also have a free raffle with awesome prizes & a plain ole’ good time for the Deaf and CODA community!

Founded by a Child Of Deaf Adults (CODA) and the only hearing person in and all Deaf family, CODA connections,Inc is a non profit servicing the NC area that connects Deaf families and Children to critical resources to ensure each family member reaches their  full potential. Aside from financial and resource support, we provide educational workshops, mentorship, advocacy, workforce development, peer  group engagement, interpreting services and serve as a wholistic resource for Deaf families. Our  programs and services bridge the communication divide between Deaf and hearing world, connecting them as one.
