Greensboro Science Center Summer Camps

Children ages 4 – 12 will have the chance to explore an entire array of scientific subjects, ranging from meteorology, chemistry and physics to astronomy, animals and art. Campers will cook with solar power, use a banana to hammer a nail, build race cars, experience what it’s like to be a zookeeper, and much more! In addition to these Science Exploration camps, the GSC has a whole series of brick engineering and robotics camps available for young engineers and robot enthusiasts ages 5 – 14.

Tap into your child’s creativity with City Arts Drama Camp

City Arts Drama Camp (1)If your kid has a flair for the dramatic – the Drama Center at City Arts is the spot for him this summer. City Arts offers a comprehensive Drama Camp for children ages 5-15. They can make a movie, learn stage combat or study improv comedy, clowning, and costume design. Classes will help budding thespians learn or further develop acting techniques. Campers in the July 10-14 and 17-21 sessions will be part of the musical theater productions “Seussical the Musical” and “Sleeping Beauty.” Drama camp runs from 9 am to 5 pm weekdays at the Greensboro Cultural Center. Five, week-long sessions are offered from June to July. Cost: $250 per camper per week. Payment plans, sibling discounts and scholarships are available.
