By Guest Blogger Olivia Morris of Champion Volleyball Club

Located in Winston-Salem, Champion Volleyball Club is entering its 15th year of offering high-quality volleyball classes, clinics, and teams to the local community. While our main base of operations is in Winston-Salem, we also offer satellite programs in adjacent counties.

The club is an active member of the USA Junior Olympic Carolina Region. CVC sponsors Regional teams in all age groups from 12U – 18U.  It will also sponsor National & Zonal teams for the 14U – 18U age brackets.

Training Champions

Champion Volleyball Club formed with a clear vision of the guiding principles under which it would operate. This club is responsible for providing a healthy, positive environment for participants; teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals of volleyball; encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship; focusing on positive reinforcement as a primary tool in the learning process; teaching that opponents and officials are to be respected and appreciated; and offering advanced skills and techniques for those athletes who wish to play at the next level.

At CVC, we provide an environment which will foster a long-term love of the game for participants. Our staff and coaches are dedicated to opening minds to the idea that while winning is clearly a primary objective, competition, improvement, playing to the best of one’s ability, and being a good sport and teammate, provide the ultimate enjoyment and fulfillment. Our goal is the overall development of the player, both as an athlete and as a person.

How Do We Create Champions?

Major areas that CVC deems significant:

  • Teamwork – We work with and encourage everyone to treat all teammates with respect.
  • Sportsmanship – We expect players to be respectful to coaches, officials, and opponents.
  • Competitive environment – Players are to be as competitive as possible while on the court.
  • Positive environment – Players and coaches will focus on creating a positive atmosphere where everyone can experience success.
