Cookies, Nutcrackers, and Santa … Oh My!

Visit with Santa, get your photo taken with dancers from The Nutcracker, decorate cookies, sing carols, and sip hot chocolate. It’s a day to make even the Scroogiest Scrooge crack a smile.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 1 at the Mast General Store in Downtown Winston-Salem for a holiday kick off starting with the 2 p.m. arrival of Santa. As one might imagine, our visitor from the North Pole has a full slate of places to go and people to see, but he will be available to verify what list youngsters’ names appear on until 5 p.m. Remember to bring your camera to capture a holiday memory.

What would the holidays be without the magical story of Clara and the nutcracker? Dancers from the UNC School of the Arts’ production of the Nutcracker will read the story at 3 p.m., then are available for photos.

Music is a big part of any holiday celebration. Mast Store welcomes the Caroleers, who will be performing your favorite carols from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.

That’s not all! Moji Coffee and More – an innovative coffee shop with an inspiring story – is serving coffee and hot chocolate for all to enjoy. And there will be cookies to decorate, too!

The Mast Store is located at 516 North Trade Street. Plenty of parking is available in the 6th/Cherry/Trade Street Garage, and you can enter the store from the second level. For more information, call Mast Store at 336-727-2015.
