Declan’s Dash 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run
This family orientated, stroller-friendly race features an out and back course that starts and ends at Declan’s Playground at Harmon Park. Great food, prizes and fun will be available for participants of all ages. The race is being presented by the Declan Donoghue Foundation and Trone Brand Energy. The foundation was started in memory of Declan Donoghue, who passed away in 2010 at the age of two. The foundation’s mission is to celebrate the memory and spirit of Declan, by funding and creating places for children to play. The goal of this year’s race is to raise funds for Declan’s third playground at Griffin Recreation Center in Greensboro. May 10, 2014, Harmon Park – Kernersville (152 S. Main Street)
Run/Walk is at 8:30am;
1/2 mile Kids Fun Run is at 9:30am

Mark Your Calendar for Kids’ Morning Out!
Join Forsyth Family magazine and local families for a morning of fun on Wednesday, May 7th! This free event takes place at Twin City Recreation (428 Twins Way in Advance) from 10 am to Noon. Learn about the Twins Recreation program for kids ages 3 to 13. There will be many fun soccer games and relays including skills you can teach your preschooler. Ask the professionals about the many benefits of getting your child involved in soccer. As always, each adult attendee will receive four tickets to the fabulous prize board. See you then!
Cloth Diapering Event at All About Baby Boutique
Want to learn more about cloth diapering? Join TMoM at All About Baby Boutique and Education Center (410 Blandwood Ave, Greensboro, 27401) on Wednesday, May 7 between 10 am and Noon for a special drop-in event. All About Baby will be offering attendees free cloth diapering demonstrations PLUS a 20% discount card to be used in the store that day. The Randleman Road McDonald’s restaurant will also be offering free refreshments. And if you’re currently a cloth diaper user, please consider stopping by with a cloth diaper donation for our friends at Piedmont Diaper Bank.
