By Guest Blogger Ashley Mitchell, founder and Executive Director of Perfectly Imperfect Girls

Perfectly Imperfect Girls is a North Carolina based nonprofit youth mentoring program started in August of 2020. We currently serve middle school and high school girls ages 12-18 in the Highpoint/Greensboro area. Our mission is to uplift young girls with a crown of self-esteem and self-acceptance. Allowing girls to improve their future by reaching their fullest potential. We want to recognize that our imperfections make us who we are.

We currently offer our Girls2Queens program and cover five main topics:

Identity: Everyone is unique and has strengths in different fields. We work to help our girls to define their identity.

Purpose: Our organization aspires to help our girls find what their drive and motivation is to succeed.

Skills: We strive to teach our girls the skills needed in the world and obtain the profession they seek.

Social Interaction: We work in bettering interpersonal skills, professional speaking and etiquette.

Health & Wellness: Your child’s health is important to us. In addition to contributing to society, they must take care of their health and well-being.

Our organization instills three core values/positive moral ethics into our young Queens:

Commitment: Learning the importance of being dedicated to any cause or activity in their life.

Motivation: The desire and/or willingness to complete any task or assignment given to them.

Respect: Always show a positive feeling or action towards themselves and others.

We want to use our platform to empower young girls of all religions, backgrounds, and ethnic groups. Our impact will reach the school systems and afterschool programs. Our future community center will be the go-to for our community. Perfectly Imperfect Girls is investing in our communities’ future entrepreneurs, CEO’s, doctors, and Presidents. The sky is not the limit for our Queens, but the limit is in their mind. We are Perfectly Imperfect!!!

Currently we are accepting girls for our upcoming program in September. You can register your “Queen in the making” on our website here, and read our testimonials from our past mentees and their parents.

Perfectly Imperfect Girls was founded by our Executive Director Ashley Mitchell. After spending most of her life in Lake Jackson, Texas she relocated to High Point, North Carolina. Ashley has a passion and commitment in helping people and stands behind the organization’s purpose of every girl leaving the program wearing a crown of self-acceptance. Ashley understands the importance of young girls embracing their imperfections and giving them the necessary resources to obtain their success.
