Welcome to summer at Forsyth Country Day School! We are excited to offer a wide variety of personal, current, and academic enrichment activities for students from any school on our state-of-the-art campus in Lewisville, North Carolina. Along with courses for academic improvement, our offerings include visual arts, science and technology, and athletic classes for students of all ages. We can’t wait for you to participate!

Summer Quest 2014 has something for everyone; academics, adventure, arts, and athletics! You will find class descriptions and teachers by clicking on the individual classes listed on the registration page.

Junior Quest (JQ) classes are offered to 3 – 5 yr. olds who have not completed Kindergarten: Children must have turned 3 by January 1, 2014.

Enrichment Camps are offered to students who have completed K – 8th grades. They may choose full day or half day options.

Sports Camps are offered to students have completed 2nd-9th grade and are coached by FCDS head coaches who are dedicated to improving the skills of young and developing athletes. Camp times run from 9:00-12:00.

Class Bridges are required for anyone staying all day for camp. The class bridges the time between morning camps or sports camps with afternoon camps. If your camp offering is a 9:00-3:00 class, lunch is already included in the tuition.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is offered to 12-15 yr. olds and is a two-week session. Students will receive Red Cross Certified CPR training as a part of this class.

Registration:
All registration occurs online. Please go to www.fcds.org/summer to register. 50% of the final payment is due at time of registration. Credit and PayPal payments are accepted, as well as check by mail payable to FCDS. Camps will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have registered and paid your 50% by June 1, your child will receive a summer camp drawstring bag! This year FCDS Summer Quest is proud to announce that we will offer a multi-week discount for Summer Quest campers. If you come for four weeks you will receive a 10% discount, five weeks 20%, six weeks 30%, and seven or eight weeks 40%. We want you to come and spend your whole summer with us!

Bridge the Gap:
We want you to stay and play ALL day! SQ Bridge provides a hot lunch prepared by the Flik Corporation which serves FCDS during the school year. This hot lunch is included in the price of full day classes and is required for anyone staying for a morning and afternoon class. Not only will your child receive a hot lunch, they will also be supervised and participate in a PE class taught in our Livengood Gymnasium. However, students may still bring their own lunch if they so desire. There will be no peanut products served or used in the preparation of these meals. The SQ Bridge transitions students between morning and afternoon classes at a rate of $55. Students participating in our sports camps will pay a reduced fee of $25 if they are staying for an afternoon class.

What to Bring:
Students involved in any sports program should bring a water bottle, sneakers, and sunscreen on a daily basis. Students in these activities will be able to fill water bottles before they begin. Lacrosse players need their own sticks, helmets and pads (boys), eye protection (girls), and mouth guards; Tennis players need their own rackets; Softball and Baseball players need their own gloves; Soccer players need their own shin guards; Golfers are encouraged to bring their own clubs; Swimmers should bring their own goggles, towels, and dry clothing; Digital Photography students need their own digital cameras; Airsoft campers need their own equipment. Please make sure that all personal items are clearly marked with your child’s name.

Drop Off and Pick Up:
The regular scheduled camp hours are from 9-3. You may drop off and pick up your child outside of the Livengood Gymnasium before and after camp within a 15-minute time window, otherwise a camp care fee will be administered. Before and After Camp Care are available every day in the Lowery Lower School. Daily rates and weekly rates are available. Students may only be on campus during their scheduled class times.

Refunds:
We regret that after May 15, we cannot refund money for class changes or absences due to change in plans, family vacation, or illness. Makeup classes are not available. If insufficient enrollment requires the cancellation of a course, all deposits and fees associated with that course will be refunded.
