Happy Easter! It’s finally starting to feel like spring and the Triad is alive with outdoor events this month. Today we feature FIVE events you won’t want to miss. A few are just for moms and parents while others are for the whole family. Plus, keep reading to find out how you can win a $100 Visa gift card simply by attending one of these events!

TMoM Event: “One Size Does Not Fit All”
“One Size Does Not Fit All” will take place on Thursday, April 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Novant Health Conference Center at Forsyth Medical Center. This is a FREE event hosted by your very own, Triad Moms on Main team. Parking in the Forsyth Medical Center parking deck is free to the first 200 attendees. Stop by during your lunch break, or pop in with girlfriends. You’ll get to talk to representatives from every aspect of wellness – from nutritionists and dieticians to exercise experts. Walk around and visit their booths, or try out a ‘mini-class’, 15-20 minute exercise or nutrition demonstrations. There will be door prizes, fun, and lots of information for everybody, and every body! 2014 Triad Kidney Walk
Spring is in the air, and it’s a great time to come out to support the Triad Kidney Walk on April 27th. The Triad Kidney Walk will be held at the Oak Hollow Mall in High Point, NC. Show your support and bring your family, teams, friends and communities. This event will be amazing to participate in so mark your calendars and be sure to mark off another great accomplishment for 2014. Kernersville Celebrates Earth Day
The Town of Kernersville invites residents to attend its 6th annual Earth Day celebration on Tuesday, April 22 from 10 am to 7 pm at Town Hall Courtyard! Kernersville’s Earth Day is a free program that centers on teaching environmental stewardship, and will include activities for all ages. Easy parking and extended hours make this a great family event. Come learn more about composting, energy efficiency, recycling, protecting our water quality, and much more!
Kernersville also invites you to create a work of Art for Earth in honor of its celebration. The Town will display submitted works of art, and a winner will be announced as part of the festivities. The winning piece will be displayed in the Town Hall lobby; however, all of the artists will be recognized for their efforts at the event and have their works shown throughout the day! Lexington’s BBQ Capital Cook-off
World famous for its finger-lickin’ barbecue, Lexington is hosting the BBQ Capital Cook-off on April 25 and April 26. Come out to see international teams compete for a prize purse of $15,900. This free event kicks off on Friday at 6 pm and runs through Saturday when the final awards are announced. Teams will serve their best ribs, chicken, brisket and pork, and visitors may sample treats from local and regional eateries.
