Registration is now open for the Triad Chill Polar Plunge® fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro! Participants of this regional Polar Plunge are folks in the Triad freezin’ for a reason in support of Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) athletes.
Schedule of Events:
- 10-11:15 a.m.: Registration Opens
- 11:30 a.m.: Opening Ceremony and Awards
- 11:45 a.m.: Plunge
FOX 8 anchor and SONC Board of Directors member Katie Nordeen will serve as the event emcee. Supporters of SONC will participate in the Triad Chill along with students, teachers and staff from schools in the Triad area. Local law enforcement agencies will also brave the icy waters to demonstrate their commitment to enhancing the impact of SONC in their community.
Also, supporters encourage friends and fans to come out and watch the Polar Plunge festivities. Walk-up registrations on the day of the event are welcome. Online registration is available now.
