Would you be willing to give $20 toward the cure for Ovarian Cancer? What if that $20 also got you an invite to a fun-filled evening? What if that $20 also allowed you to “adopt a teal flamingo?” Of course you would give $20, right?

Please take a moment to read about this AMAZING group of local women who have come together in honor of their friend who is fighting Ovarian Cancer. The rate of survival for those with advanced stages of ovarian cancer has changed very little in 35 years. Bottom line is that we need more funding. Cancer could affect you or a loved one at any time. We need your help!

No to O” is a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting awareness and funding for ovarian cancer research through medical and educational partnerships. This organization was started by Jean Ebert, who was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in December of 2008. The goal of Jean and her friends is to raise money for local and national ovarian cancer research and to donate funding to ovarian cancer programs for patients/survivors in North Carolina. They are also working to connect women and their families with these supportive programs.

Back to the “Flock the Yard” event and these teal flamingos … Teal is the color that represents Ovarian Cancer Awareness. By donating $20 to this cause, you will have an “adopted” flamingo placed in the front yard of the Broyhill Historic Events Center with your name (or business name) on it on the evening of the Flock the Yard Event! The goal is to have 1,000 birds in the front yard of the Broyhill by April 12th.

Your $20 donation is your ticket into the event. All you need to do is click here to donate via PayPal, or you can mail a check made out to  “No to O” to:
