Multidisciplinary Team Turns Mysterious Illness into a Diagnosis for Infant
Layne Baker rapidly became ill and lethargic at two months old. A team of multidisciplinary specialists at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Brenner Children’s Hospital treated his symptoms and worked together to find an answer to what was causing this mystery illness. Through genetic testing, they discovered Layne had a rare condition called congenital myasthenic syndrome type 11 (CMS11). They began treatment immediately and within days, Layne was back to his old self. Today, he’s an active and vocal baby filled with hope. There are Summer Camp directories for Burlington & Greensboro, High Point & Kernersville, Winston-Salem Area, and Additional Surrounding Areas. For TMoM readers convivence, each directory is broken up into types of summer camps; such as, art, sports, or special needs camps. They are also list ages the camp is for and notated if they offer early drop off or late pick up.
