Party at the Winston Cup Museum

Ever planned a child’s birthday party? If so, you are likely looking for:
 A unique venue that is different than last three parties your child attended
 A place with fun activities that will keep your group occupied
 Party planning and execution assistance to make it easier on you

We’ve got just the place – the Winston Cup Museum! This race car museum is full of cool cars and interactive racing games that boys and girls alike will enjoy. Over the years, they have hosted parties for kids of all ages in their 10,000-square foot space. With two party packages, they provide options for busy moms and dads needing a little help or a lot of help in pulling off the perfect birthday party. They can also go a step further and provide a photographer, tents, additional décor and other add-on services.

Join Cub Scouts – Open House

MAKE SCOUTING HISTORY!

On Wednesday, August 1, girls ages 5-10 years old will be able to join Cub Scouts for the first time!  Many cub packs in our area will be adding “dens” of girls to their pack to make them co-ed. Some packs will continue to serve only boys and some may form that serve just girls.  (What’s important is all families will now have an option for Cub Scouts!)

The Old Hickory Council (the organization that facilitates scouting in Forsyth County and Northwest NC) is hosting a Cub Scout Open House for interested girls and their parents on August 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for fun activities, food and most importantly, you can join Cub Scouts!  Boys interested in joining are also encouraged to attend and join in the fun! The Open House will be at the Old Hickory Council office at 6600 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.

Representatives will be on hand to help find you a pack to join in your local area and answer any questions. For more info visit www.oldhickorycouncil.org.
