Virtual Halloween Costume Contest and Dance Party

According to the CDC, instead of door-to-door trick or treating this year, families should consider lower-risk activities, like attending a virtual party! Enter Child Care Resource Center’s Virtual Halloween Costume Contest and Dance Party! FUNraiser! Don’t let COVID-19 ruin your Halloween!  Visit ccrccostumecontest.causevox.com to enter the costume photo contest, and have friends and family vote by making a donation! Each donation counts as a vote. And each donation of $10 enters you into our raffle for awesome prizes, like tickets to the zoo! Participants with the most votes in each category win $100! The money raised goes to sustain Child Care Resource Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families find, and child care programs provide, quality child care throughout a pandemic. Winners will be announced on October 31st during the dance party LIVE on Facebook!

LEAD Girls G.R.I.T Expo

On Saturday, November 14, LEAD Girls of NC will bring together 150 middle/high school girls and their parents with local leaders and experts at this year’s LEAD Girls G.R.I.T Expo to promote healthy self confidence, mental health, financial wellness, restorative practices to improve decision making, leadership, and communication skills. The Expo, hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams, will feature high-energy workshops and interactive presentations.

After a year full of change and difficulties, this event will help girls and families in our community restore and reaffirm their abilities to cope with changes and come out of this time of uncertainty as leaders and innovators. Girls and families can register at leadgirls.org/expo.
