Thanks to Triad Moms on Main readers for helping us celebrate Learning Disabilities Awareness Month during the month of October! We had a great turnout at our Walk ‘n Wag event on October 20 and are continuing to celebrate our 25th Anniversary with several upcoming events.

Join us at one of our fall Open Houses for an info session, admissions information, tour of the school, and to have your questions answered. We are still accepting students for the 2012-13 school year as well for the 2013-14 school year. We also love getting to know others in the community such as tutors, pediatricians, psychologists, speech and language pathologists.Open House for Upper Division (grades 7-12) is from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Friday, November 9 and for Lower Division (grades K-6) from 9:00 – 11:00 am on Friday, November 16.
Our next big 25th anniversary celebration will be a Wine, Art & Design event on November 30 from 5-8 pm. We are still accepting artist submissions for this event, which is a chance for us to showcase and celebrate artwork, design, and crafts from local artists as well as our own faculty and alumni. This would be a great event for a happy hour with the girls or even a date night, as we are offering childcare.
Do you work with someone with a learning difference? Whether you are a parent or a professional (or both!), you may benefit from attending Triad LDA Support Group meetings. The next meeting is Tuesday, November 6, at 7:00 pm, featuring Dr. Arthur Anastopoulos of UNCG’s ADHD Clinic speaking about “Beyond the Academic Issues: Social and Emotional Challenges for Children with AD/HD and Learning Disabilities.” With the exception of December, Triad LDA Support Group meetings take place the first Tuesday night of the month from 6:30 pm to 8 pm: January 8, February 5, March 5, April 9, May 7 and June 4.
