Holiday Idea from Brenner Children’s Hospital
Brenner Children’s Hospital has great ways to support area children and spread holiday cheer. Its 2015 holiday-card features the foot prints of Ruth Lupita Cristobal. Ruth was born at 24 weeks 5 days gestation and weighed just 1lb 4.5 oz. What a great way to let family and friends know you are thinking about them this season. Learn to Skate Classes at The Greensboro Ice House
The Greensboro Ice House is excited to announce a special holiday offering of our US Figure Skating Basic Skills Learn to Skate classes! Professional coaches will teach skating FUNdamentals to skaters ages 4 years and up. Adults are welcomed and encouraged to participate! Classes will run on Saturday, December 5th and Saturday, December 12th from 1:30-2pm in a coned off section of our regularly scheduled afternoon public skating session. Tuition for this 2-class mini session is just $40 and includes a 30 minute class, skate rental and the opportunity to skate the remainder of the afternoon public skating session (until 4pm) free of charge. The Greensboro Ice House boasts an array of skating opportunities including daily public sessions, extended weekend public skating, awesome birthday parties and discounts for your group’s next outing. WSYC Presents a Winter Celebration Concert!
The Winston-Salem Youth Chorus, recently endorsed by the mayor as the Premier youth chorus and Ambassador’s of the city, will hold their Annual Winter Celebration Concert entitled “Winter Harmonies” on Saturday, Nov 21st at 7:00 pm, at Ardmore Baptist Church. Come and hear the beautiful voices of over 85 singers ranging in age from 8-18 as they perform a variety of choral pieces that are sure to delight audiences. The WSYC frequently performs with orchestras, professional artists, and ensembles of highest caliber each year plus tour nationally and internationally. The WSYC is a non-profit arts organization with singers in grades 3 – 12 representing over 40 schools in Forsyth and surrounding counties.
