The idea behind Monkey Shines is simple: read books, get trade credit to spend at Edward McKay!  (Kids do not have to get their reading materials from Edward McKay in order to qualify for trade credit rewards.) Sign-up sheets are available at each Edward McKay location. Every sign-up sheet holds information about ten books. When ten books have been read and a sheet is filled, kids return it to Edward McKay for $5 in trade credit. Please note, there is a limit of one sheet per child per week. On August 13, an all-day Monkey Shines Celebration will be held to celebrate kids and reading.
