Reading is fundamental all year ’round! Join Edward McKay for Monkey Shines, a summer reading program for kids 5-12. It works like this: kids pick up a Monkey Shines Sheet at any Edward McKay location, and fill in the sheet as they read books. For every ten books they read (that’s one sheet), they get $5 in Trade Credit, which can be spent on more books or some other items in the store. There is a turn-in limit of one sheet per week per child, but the kids do not have to get their books from Edward McKay in order for them to count. They can re-read books at home, get them from the library, borrow them from a friend, or something else! On August 15 each store will be holding a Monkey Shines Party to celebrate reading.
