We’ve all heard about how music can positively impact a child’s development, but at The Music Academy we get to see it happening every day! Music supports healthy development in nearly every area of the brain, and it teaches physical control and coordination. It provides an emotional and expressive outlet and, perhaps most importantly, the lessons last for life. While most senior citizens can’t play soccer or football, they can often sing or play an instrument. Music is a gift you can give your child that will last forever.

We offer a nurturing musical environment for beginners, and more rigorous programs for the advanced student. Our mission? To enable students of all ages, interests, abilities, and backgrounds to discover, develop, realize, and express their innate talents. And we have a pretty good time doing it.

At MANC we offer private lessons and group classes in nearly every instrument and musical style, from Beethoven to bluegrass, and piccolo to piano. There’s something for everyone, from our beginner percussion ensemble to our adult recorder consort. Students can begin lessons at any time, or they can sign up for one of our exciting camps scheduled throughout the summer. We’d love to see you there!

This year we have so many opportunities for kids, including a general music camp where kids explore a whole array of musical styles and instruments, or “Garage Band Camp” for teens looking to experience the world of rock bands and the recording industry. We have camps for violin, voice, guitar, and more. Don’t worry – some will require a musical background, but many will be perfect for the absolute beginner! These are only a few of our many offerings, so please call us (336.379.8748), email us at  info@musicacademync.org, or visit our websitewww.Music AcademyNC.org to find out more!
