Welcome to another edition of Main Street Moms on the Move!  Our Moms on the Move series is all about Moms who make a difference.  The difference they are making can be in their own lives, their children’s lives, or the lives of others.  I hope you enjoy reading about the local moms below!

Lauren Cox

Lauren Cox has 3 children, Sydney (10), Carson (6) and Olivia (4) and an 18 year old stepson. Lauren lives in Greensboro and works full time for the fun and fabulous company Buckhead Betties. You have probably seen our blogs about this exciting shopping adventure!  There she has her hand in many different roles. Currently she heads up the awesome warehouse sales twice a year as well as oversees the various rep groups. In Lauren’s spare time she has managed to start a business of her own, traveling to local cities in North Carolina selling great personalized gifts. Her company, if it’s LETTERS specializes in personalized gift giving. In Lauren’s little spare time she enjoys bike riding with her crew and oddly enough, organizing!!

Lori Redding

Lori Redding has two children, Boone (5) and Molly Ruth (2).  Lori has been an incredible cheerleader for Triad Moms on Main.  Although no one on our team knew Lori personally, she made it her goal to help us spread the word about our site.  Since she has her hand in so many different activities, she is one we can always count on to alert us of area events.  Lori is an Occupational Therapist at Moses Cone Health Systems where she has worked for the last ten years.  A native of Waynesville, NC Lori has embraced the Greensboro community.  She is active in Junior League where she serves as Chair of the Hands on Help Committee.  She’s a proud supporter of Piedmont Land Conservancy where he husband, Kevin, serves as Executive Director.  Lori is an active member of Grace United Methodist Church where she serves on the Family Life Committee.  She can often be seen around town at the Greensboro Children’s Museum, the Natural Science Center or in a neighborhood park.

Marybeth Barrett

This witty and one-of-a-kind mom is an entrepreneur, designer, Artist, and DIY-er.  She owns Addressing Spaces, which specializes in Interior Redesign, Home Staging and Color. Marybeth has two boys, Mac (7) and Cal (4), and a husband, Dan.  She claims to have more power tools than her hubby, since you can usually find her reusing, repurposing, and refinishing!  You can see her creating in person at Studios at 625 Trade Street in Winston-Salem, or catch up with her through her humorous and helpful blog,www.addressingspaces.com.  Marybeth writes a Down Home DIY column for one of our favorite local publications, Forsyth Family Magazine.  She also volunteers through the Junior League of W-S, chairs the Tour of Fine Spaces Event, and designs for the Habitat for Humanity’s Restore Spaces Event.  Marybeth lives through her favorite quote by Mr. Magorium, “Your life is an Occasion.  Rise to it!”
