School’s out! But that doesn’t mean your kids have to lose the book habit. Keep them reading all summer long with our annual Monkey Shines reading program in the Greensboro and Winston-Salem branches of Edward McKay Used Books & More. It started Saturday, June 8, and runs until August 10. The program is for kids 5-12. And, of course, it’s free!

Here’s how it works:

– Drop by the Greensboro or Winston-Salem store and pick up a Monkey Shines sign-up sheet.
– Start reading! Every time you read a book, fill out one of the slots on the sign-up sheet. (You don’t have to get your books from us to do your reading, but we’d appreciate it if you do!)
– When you finish filling out your sheet, bring it back to your Greensboro or Winston-Salem Edward McKay and we’ll give you $5 in trade credit!*

* Your child must be present to redeem the sheet!

On August 10, join us at either the Greensboro or the Winston-Salem store and celebrate your reading prowess with an all-day celebration. You will have made your summer better – with a lot of great books!

Remember, Edward McKay isn’t just about books for kids. We have used books, music, movies, video games, electronics, audiobooks, textbooks, games, and more — in short, something for everyone in the family. Drop by soon — we’d love to see you!
