Are you considering a Montessori education for your child? Greensboro Montessori School is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year at all age levels (toddler through ninth grade), and the deadline to apply is Monday, March 15. Families choose Greensboro Montessori School because the school’s curriculum masterfully blends academic prowess with the development of skills necessary for a lifetime of achievement in a global society. Beginning at 18 months old, students learn how to work and play in culturally diverse, multiage learning communities. The goal of their academic work is mastery, not test preparation, and their studies are augmented by a wide array of cultural programming. The school’s Toddler faculty include art, environmental education, foreign languages, music, storytime, and art in the classroom. Beginning in the primary division (preschool), students receive lessons in environmental education, Spanish, visual art, and world music from cultural education faculty. Beginning in first grade, students also take physical education.
Established in 1974, Greensboro Montessori School’s mission is to nurture and challenge students to develop the skills and courage they need to unleash their full potential. The School is located at 2856 Horse Pen Creek Road in Greensboro and can be reached online at gms.org and via telephone at 336-668-0119.
