“Disney’s The Aristocats Kids”

Students in grades K-8 at Westchester Country Day School will present “Disney’s The Aristocats Kids,” the school’s spring musical production. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and Saturday May 21, and a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, in the Rives Hall auditorium. All costumes, sets and production are provided by students, faculty and parents of WCDS.

In “Disney’s The Aristocats Kids,” Madame’s jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. Luckily, Thomas O’Malley and his rag-tag bunch of alley cats come to their rescue!

The musical is based on the 1970 Disney film, “The Aristocats.” Music and lyrics for the show are by Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman, Al Rinker and Floyd Huddleston. Music is adapted and arranged and additional music and lyrics are by Bryan Louiselle. The book is adapted and additional lyrics are by Michael Bernard.

Westchester Country Day School is an independent, college preparatory school for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 located just outside of High Point in Davidson County. Tickets for “Disney’s The Aristocats Kids” will go on sale Monday, May 2. Join the mailing list for a reminder when ticket sales open. General admission tickets are $5 each and will be provided at will call. Seating is assigned by the school on a first come, first served basis.
