On your mark, get set, go! Register now for the W-Day 5K Cat Challenge at Westchester Country Day School on Saturday, May 7. Participation is open to runners of all ages. The events will begin at 8:30 a.m. and include a 5K Run/Walk, a 1-Mile Fun Run, a Little Cat Lap (ages 3 and 4), and a 50-Yard Diaper Dash (ages 2 and under).
The 16th annual 5K event is presented by Sweet Old Bill’s and Splashworks. It is held in memory of Hobey Ragan, devoted father and dedicated Wildcat fan. Therefore, it is also known as “The Hobey.” Proceeds of this event will benefit WCDS Athletics and the American Lung Association.
Westchester Country Day School is an independent, college preparatory school for students in grades PK-12. Westchester is located just outside of High Point in Davidson County. The school seeks to educate each child toward moral, academic, artistic, and athletic excellence in a nurturing, family environment where students, teachers, and parents support one another. Registration
Participants can register online at www.westchestercds.org/5K. A discounted early registration rate is available through April 17. Registrations will be accepted through race day. T-shirts are included for the first 200 registrants. Refreshments including pizza by Pizza Vino, biscuits, bagels, fruit, coffee, drinks and more will be provided.
