2011 Choice Awards Winner: Starmount Preschool

When it comes to finding the right preschool for your child, the task can be overwhelming.  Triad Moms on Main hopes to help by featuring quality choices for you!  Today, we are happy to tell you more about Starmount Preschool.  You can be guaranteed that this school is highly recommended due to the fact that they are the recipients of the 2011 Choice Award for Best Local Preschool.  That means that out of 4000 voting moms in the Triad region, they had the most votes.  This definitely let’s you know that it is mom-approved!

Starmount Preschool is an outreach program of Starmount Presbyterian Church. The preschool has been a part of the church for over 50 years. All of the lead teachers from the two’s – five’s classes have a degree in early childhood education. They have taught in the public schools and bring that experience to the classroom.

According to director, Cindy Lee, “The Starmount Preschool program provides a nurturing environment which promotes the growth and development of the whole child, ages 6 months to 5 year olds. We believe that children learn best through art, music, creative movement, and play. Starmount Preschool also provides a loving Christian environment where children learn about God’s love for all of us.”

Classes offered at Starmount include:

* ½ day preschool program – 9:00am 1:00pm from August – June
Crib   (6months – 9months)
Young Toddler (10months -15months)
Older Toddlers (16months – 23 months)
2 year olds class (T/Th and M/W/F)
3 year olds class (T/Th and M/W/F)
4 year olds class (M –Th)
4/5 year olds class (M-F)

* Before school/afterschool enrichment classes
* 5 week Summer program- June/July  “ Summer Stars”
* Fall/Spring Kids Consignment Sales
You will also be happy to know that there are options available for your child this summer at very affordable prices.  Serves ages 9 months – 5 year olds Monday – Friday for only  $75.00 per week.
