Carolinas Aviation Museum

Located alongside the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Carolinas Aviation Museum is celebrating 25 years as one of the South’s premier aviation museums. Unique exhibitions tell stories dating back to the very beginnings of flight, while exploring the high-tech world of contemporary aviation. Walk through the indoor hangar deck and get face-to-face with an F-14 Super Tomcat, DC-3 commercial airliner, CH-46 helicopter transport, and Flight 1549—The Miracle on the Hudson, the US Airways Airbus A320 that successfully landed in the Hudson River. Aviators of all ages can create their own adventure by climbing into the cockpit of an F-4 Phantom or Boeing 727. Get ready to experience the wonders of aviation and the stories of the aviators who flew into history. Museum is open 7 days a week and offers a variety of STEM-related educational experiences and special programs for individuals and groups. Visit www.carolinasaviation.org or call 704.997.3770 for more details.
