The University of North Carolina School of the Arts performance of the The Nutracker is a cherished Winston-Salem holiday tradition for many families. Imagine the excitement when you and your little ones experience a preview of this magical ballet at the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem today, Sunday, November 13. The fun starts at 1 p.m. Create a Nutcracker paper bag puppet in the Art Studio and enjoy a special story time at 2:30 p.m. Then, watch in wonder as cast members from UNCSA’s The Nutcracker perform a short preview of the ballet at 3 p.m. Learn some dance steps, meet and greet UNCSA performers, and enjoy light refreshments!

The Greensboro Ice House is excited to announce a special holiday offering of its Learn to Skate USA basic skills classes! Professional coaches will teach skating FUNdamentals to skaters ages 4 years and up.  Adults are welcomed and encouraged to participate! Classes will run on December 3rd, December 10th and December 17th from 1:30-2pm in a coned off section of our regularly scheduled Saturday afternoon public skating session.  Tuition for this 3-class mini session is just $45 and includes a 30 minute class, skate rental and the opportunity to skate the remainder of the afternoon public skating session (until 4pm) free of charge. The Greensboro Ice House boasts an array of skating opportunities including daily public sessions, extended weekend public skating, awesome birthday parties and discounts for your group’s next outing.  Check out all of our programming at
