Unfortunately, I have some close friends who are living with Multiple Sclerosis. Fortunately, they all face this disease with strength and dignity and are all in agreement that when people come together, we can work toward creating a world free of MS. This is MS Awareness Week! During March 14-20, 2011, make it your goal to educate yourself and others about MS. MS is disabling disease of the central nervous system which can be very unpredictable. Right here in the Triad, one of my friends, Paul Donohoe, is currently living with MS. Paul and another friend of ours, Matt Murphy, have organized a “Casual Friday” event for local workplaces and have encouraged businesses to get as many people to wear orange to work on Friday, March 18th in support of MS Awareness. As you will see below, the response of supporters was overwhelming and Triad Moms on Main is excited to be a sponsor of this event.
