Is a Good School Good Enough?
In the Triad area, we have good public schools. They have impressive test scores, solid teachers, lots of classes and extracurricular activities. Best of all, the cost is covered in our taxes. But is good good enough?
When parents are asked why they chose St. Leo Catholic School the answers tell a multidimensional story that encompasses far more than academics. Faith-based, character building, safe, small classes, community and, most telling of all, family were listed as key reasons for selecting St. Leo for their children.
Academics clearly mattered to these parents. They wouldn’t have considered St. Leo had it not met this critical criterion. They wanted a place where their children would grow academically, spiritually and emotionally. They wanted a place where their child felt part of a community and what they found was a family.
If you’re looking for a school for your child, schedule a tour of St. Leo Catholic School and see for yourself how truly great it is.

Open House at YMCA Camp Hanes
At the base of the beautiful Sauratown Mountain, YMCA Camp Hanes is a place where kids unplug and explore. Campers encounter adventure along every trail from water slides to zip lines to hikes up the mountain. They challenge themselves by choice in the safe, supportive environment just northwest of Winston-Salem. Kids grow at YMCA Camp Hanes. With time just to be a kid, campers become more independent and self-reliant. They face new challenges and form new friendships. They overcome fears. And with each goal they accomplish, kids grow more confident.
You and your family are invited to visit YMCA Camp Hanes to see for yourself! Resident and Day Camp Open House will take place on May 13th from 1pm-4pm. You will enjoy tours, activities for the family, and registration will be available. For more information or to schedule a visit, call 336-983- 3131 or visit www.camphanes.org.
