Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors will feature a Space Themed Kids Area at its Free Saturday Festival on September 7th in downtown Winston-Salem. Look for storytimes and photo ops with popular characters like Curious George and Elephant & Piggy. Cece Bell, creator of El Deafo, Lesa Cline-Ransome and James Ransome, Coretta Scott King Honor Book award winners, along with Mr. Lemencello’s Chris Grabenstein will also offer their stories. Attendees can visit children’s exhibitors and enjoy a host of fun activities too! Come meet the multi-award winning author and illustrator duo, Greg Pizzoli (the 2014 recipient of the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award for The Watermelon Seed) and Mac Barnett (winner of two Caldecott-Honor and E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards) whose new series is titled Hi, Jack! and Jack Blasts Off. Events and fun for the entire family!
