Sometimes we are so busy planning “get-aways” and vacations that we forget how much our own Triad cities have to offer! Entertainment:

They just launched their Kids at Heart family movies series which runs from July until October.

BB&T Ballpark (Home of the Winston Salem Dash team) – 951 Ballpark Way
Don’t miss seeing the Dash play this season and Friday night games always host a fireworks show after each game. Other family events happen at the ballpark as well such as the annual FREE Family Movie night hosted by Second Harvest Food Bank in May.

This is one of the many libraries in the Forsyth County Public Library System. They not only host books and DVDs for rent for FREE but they also host many events and their Summer Reading Program.

Milton Rhodes Arts Center for the Arts – 209 Spruce St North
This is the umbrella organization for Sawtooth School for Visual Arts, Womble Carlyle Gallery, Eleanor & Egbert Davis Gallery and Hanesbrands Theatre. Sawtooth hosts a variety of art classes for children and adults as well as numerous summer camps. Hanesbrands Theatre presents a variety of kid and family friendly shows like their “Fairy Tale Series” performed by the Winston Salem Festival Ballet and in August they will show The Jungle Book by Peppercorn Children’s Theatre.
