Camp SAY combines the highest-quality, traditional summer camp experience with comprehensive activities and innovative programs that empower young people who stutter (ages 8-18). This 2-week residential camp provides a highly immersive experience that helps kids & teens who stutter build self-confidence, communication skills and friendships. Summer 2016 dates are August 2nd-16th (shortened stays available). Camp SAY takes place at a 500-acre, American Camp Association (ACA)-accredited facility, in Hendersonville, NC (near Asheville). Mommy and Me Final_Color_ForPrintMommy & Me Consignment Sale

Friendly Avenue Christian Preschool’s 2016 Spring & Summer Mommy & Me Consignment Sale will be held April 7-9 at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church’s gymnasium, 4800 West Friendly Avenue in Greensboro. They will offer infant through teen attire for boys and girls, shoes, toys, sporting equipment, furniture, strollers and highchairs, car seats, baby gear, feeding items, books, videos, on-trend women’s clothing and more.  The Consignment Sale will be held from 5:30-8:00pm on Thursday, April 7, 9am-6pm on Friday, April 8 and 8am-12pm on Saturday, April 9.  Entrance is free all three days.  Many items will be sold for half price on Saturday.  For additional information or to register as a consignor, call FACP at (336) 292-3578 or visit


SciWorks-logo-colorAccess-ABILITY Day at SciWorks: Building Community and Raising Awareness

SciWorks will host Access-ABILITY Day on Sunday, April 10, from 1 – 5 pm. The event is designed to highlight resources and services available to individuals with physical, developmental, intellectual, and emotional disabilities, to showcase recent advances in assistive technology, and to raise awareness in members of the general public. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet miniature horses from Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center and service dogs for autistic and hearing impaired individuals. The NC Wildlife Resources Commission will demonstrate an offroads wheelchair and an accessible hunting blind, and organizations that offer services for persons with disabilities will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. SuperTots is proud to announce that they are running sporting classes in the Triad area. They currently have soccer and basketball classes with new sports such as baseball and football coming soon! Classes are held at Proehlific Park, the Greensboro Sportsplex, and the Winston Salem Soccerplex. In addition, they offer sport themed birthday parties for your little sport enthusiast! Each session runs for 6 weeks at the low cost of $12 per class.
