Special Events at the Greensboro Ice House
Save the date for this year’s Fox8/Old Dominion Triad Holiday Concert! There will be wonderful musical performances from the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, musical guest artists and, of course, amazing ice skating from the Summit Figure Skating Club skaters who train at the Greensboro Ice House. The Triad Holiday Concert will be held Friday, December 14th at the Greensboro Coliseum. Admission is free with a non-perishable food item benefiting the Salvation Army Food Drive. Doors open at 6:00pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm.
Join Greensboro Ice House for their “Skate with Santa” event on Tuesday, December 18th from 5:45-6:45pm. Participants 4-10 years old are invited to this special holiday offering which includes a lesson, skating time with Santa as well as hot cocoa and cookies!
The next session of Learn to Figure and Hockey Skate Classes begin Tuesday, January 8th & Saturday, January 12th.

Wonderland Bookshop’s Grand Opening
Wonderland Bookshop offers books and novelties for children to young adults. This whimsical bookshop, run by two sisters, is located at 409 State Street in Greensboro. They offer young readers a welcoming place to Read. Dream. Imagine. Whether you are looking for a classic such as Little Women or Good Night Moon or the latest installment from Rick Riordan or Jeff Kinney you’ll find it here. Story Time is every Tuesday and Saturday at 10:30 am and all ages are welcome. Their inviting space offers bean bags for lounging, a chalkboard door for doodling, Cheeto the stuffed tiger and Wonder Dogs Lucy, Liesl and Lulu. Come by and say hello!
