May is Better Hearing and Speech Month

SpeakEasy Therapy PLLC takes referrals from parents with children as young as 18 months who are not using words to communicate. Any age is appropriate to contact them. They listen to the parent’s concerns and can help to steer them on the appropriateness of a referral. A simple, brief, free speech-language screening can define if a child is meeting age-appropriate speech-language development or if more information is needed to determine a child’s strengths and weaknesses.

SpeakEasy Therapy currently has openings for in-home, virtual and in school sessions. Imprints Cares Summer Camps

Have your children spent too much time online this year? It is time to Unplug and Jump into a summer of fun at Imprints Cares!

Spend the summer outdoors, making memories, experiencing field trips, and learning new things. Designed for rising kindergarten students through 6th graders, students are divided into teams based upon their age. Four sites are available including 2 Winston-Salem locations, Kernersville, and IC Downtown. Each themed week features 2-4 exciting field trips and STEAM Activities. Learn about space, get cooking in the kitchen, build robots, or master the elements in the always popular Survivor VI week. Craft activities, morning and afternoon snacks, supplies and field trips are included in the affordable weekly rate.

Celebrate the Re-Opening of the Greensboro Children’s Museum

Come celebrate the re-opening of the Greensboro Children’s Museum with its Kick-off to Summer! event on May 29 from 10a–5p.

Greensboro Children’s Museum is excited to be re-opening its doors to the public and couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a big, free bash to welcome everyone back to hands-on play in downtown Greensboro!

Kick-off to Summer! will include live music from 10-year-old local musician, Finn Phoenix, food truck offerings Ghassan’s & Kona Ice, a giant sidewalk chalk art area, bubble zone, magician David Lucas, a chance to win Museum prizes, and other fun, family activities. Kick-off to Summer! celebration will take place in the Museum’s parking lot and is free to attend. Admission to the Museum itself will be $10+ tax, or free for current members. The Museum has also added multiple new attractions since their doors closed to the public in March of 2020.
