Downtown Asheboro’s 2023 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Holiday Hand Lettering Class (St. Patrick’s & Easter!)
When: March 16, 6:30-8 p.m.
Location: All She Wrote Notes Studio, 108 East Minneola Street, Gibsonville
Details: You’ll get TWO holidays in one with this event— we’ll talk all things St. Patrick’s Day AND Easter which is right around the corner! This class is 60 minutes long and covers popular holiday words and phrases with step-by-step instructions on how to hand letter on your own seasonal items. We will do these together in class with Maghon’s advice and expert tips, and you’ll leave with your new favorite party trick! You’ll have extra time built in after the class to listen to music, shop and practice your new skills with Maghon’s encouragement and assistance.

Luck of the Brush: a Paint Pop-Up at the Kernersville Community Rec Center
When: March 15, 6-8 p.m.
Location: Kernersville Community Recreation Center, 125 East Bodenhamer St, Kernersville
Details: This is a family-friendly (all ages welcome*) St. Patrick’s Day inspired paint pop-up workshop. No painting experience is necessary, as our talented artist-guide will lead you step-by-step and provide one-on-one guidance Choose from two St Patrick’s Day inspired painting options (as shown in banner image) and put your own twist on your 16×20 take-home pre-traced canvas with our expert-guided help. Complimentary holiday treats and refreshments will be provided for you to enjoy as you paint along. Bring a friend – get two tickets and save an additional $10 off your order (no promo code needed). All painting supplies and materials are provided, just bring yourself and your creativity! Don’t forget to wear GREEN for some prizes! Children must remain accompanied by an adult chaperone at all times. If the adult chaperone will not be painting, there is no need to purchase a separate ticket. The Morris Family Band (Irish)
When: March 17, 7:30-9 p.m.
Location: Historic Earle Theatre and Old-Time Music Heritage Hall, 142 North Main Street, Mount Airy
Details: The Morris Family Band is comprised of five members of the Morris family from Davidson County, North Carolina; Aaron Morris, Debbie Morris, Jessica Morris, Joshua Morris, and Jacob Morris. For the past 15 years, the Morris Family Band has delighted area residents with its Irish-American sounds during St. Patrick’s Day festivals, at local cafés, and in shows at regional amphitheaters. All Morris family members are trained with most string instruments, which comes in handy for the family’s distinct, Celtic style. Guitars, violins, flutes, whistles, cello, mandolin… they’ve got it all!
