Special Gifts from Brenner

Brenner Children’s Hospital has two great ways to support area children and spread holiday cheer. The 2014 holiday card is a holiday poinsettia painted by John Furches. The “Holiday Poinsettia” set includes 10 cards/envelopes to a pack for $10. The inside message: Wishing you all the Joys of the Holiday Season. You can pair this lovely card with the “Winston-Salem from A to Z”. The book , a beautiful and fun keepsake for all ages, is an original story that incorporates the city’s historical figures, landmarks and characteristics—one item for each letter of the alphabet. The book’s colorful illustrations were created by Brenner Children’s Hospital patients, and the book’s author is a local student. Heartstrings Holiday Remembrance Tree

Sponsored by Ward Black Law and in collaboration with Triad Moms on Main and the Greensboro Cultural Center, Heartstrings will host a Holiday Remembrance Tree during the month of December. The Remembrance Tree will give Triad families an opportunity to remember a loved one or to honor past holiday traditions by contributing an ornament. Individuals and organizations are invited to contribute an ornament of their choice or a personalized dove ornament may be provided by Heartstrings.  There will be a kick-off tree decorating ceremony on Monday, December 8th at 6pm in the Greensboro Cultural Center Atrium (200 N. Davie Street).  The tree will be displayed on Dec. 1st and ornaments will be added throughout the month. Get more details and contribute your ornament here.
