Noble Academy Tutoring Services Open To The Community

While the staff at Noble Academy is specifically trained to serve students with learning differences and attention disorders, tutoring is open to all students in the community, with or without a learning difference. Many of the strategies used in the classroom that help their students succeed can also bring powerful results in a tutoring situation. Students who are having trouble learning a specific subject, who need a motivational boost, or whose organizational skills impact their academic performance can all find success with a Noble Academy tutor. Their tutoring program is broken down into two divisions, Wilson Reading System® and Academic Coaching. For more information, please contact Aimee Picon at apicon@nobleknights.org or visit their website at www.nobleknights.org.

Meeting the Needs of Students

When school districts across our area announced plans to go virtual in some capacity for the upcoming school year, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina anticipated parents were concerned about how they could juggle work and their kids’ schooling from home.

As a result, the YMCA has stepped up and helped with its E-Learning Academies at several branches. They’ve already helped hundreds of families so far, providing students with a safe, enriching space to do their schoolwork and enjoy extracurricular activities through the YMCA.

Spots are still available at most E-Learning Academy sites! Click HERE to register.

Pumpkins and Mazes and Hayrides .. Oh My!

The temps are dropping, the leaves are falling, and football has begun. This also means that it’s the perfect time to visit a nearby Pumpkin Patch. We’ve got plenty to choose from in the Triad area, and luckily many have reopened this season while following CDC guidelines. You can view our Pumpkin Patch directory here. We’ve also made note of fun activities that some of these farms offer, such as hayrides, corn mazes, pony rides, and more! We will be updating this directory on a weekly basis as farms solidify their schedules. Plan a fun outing for your family, and please tell them that Triad Moms on Main sent you!
