Family Fun at Second Sundays on Fourth

Free, family, fun. Words that describe Second Sundays on Fourth, produced by the Winston-Salem Ambassadors. Held on 4th Street between Cherry and Marshall, the 2018 SSO4’s are free music concerts on June 10thSeptember 9th, and October 14th. June bands will be Dante’s Roadhouse and Souljam and the KidZone (sponsored in part by Triad Moms on Main) will have a face-painter, chalk drawing, hula hoops, and more!

The event proudly supports local businesses and other non-profits, while providing free entertainment families can enjoy together. Bring your own chairs and blankets; and though the event happens rain or shine, definitely pay attention to that sunshine! Sunscreen and shade are always great to have at SSO4. Enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, with the ability to come and go as you please, which is perfect for families. See you on June 10th!

Legacy Saddlebreds’ Horseback Riding Lessons and Summer Day Camps

Are you still looking for that special summer experience for your child? Check out Legacy Saddlebreds’ Horseback Riding Lessons and Summer Day Camps!

Legacy Saddlebreds offers lessons and camps to riders as young as 3 years old. English riding lessons are offered 7 days a week in their indoor, climate-controlled arenas, and parents can watch the lessons from the comfort of the air conditioned viewing lounge. They also have space still available in their later summer camp sessions:

Small Fry Camp: Session 2 runs Tuesday, July 24th-Thursday, July 26th from 9:00AM-12:00PM. This camp is specifically for children ages 3-5, and offers a safe and fun way for them to learn how to ride and care for horses.

Beginner Camp: Session 2 runs Monday, August 6th-Friday, August 10th from 9:00AM-3:00PM. This camp is for children ages 6&up that are new to riding.

The Community Theatre of Greensboro presents DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID

Music by Alan Menken, Lyrics by Howard Ashman & Glenn Slater, Book by Doug Wright

This fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” Ariel, King Triton’s youngest mermaid daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends: Flounder. Scuttle, and Sebastian to restore order under the sea. This G-rated show is sure to be a family favorite at the Carolina Theatre!
