The Quest Summer Camp

You’ll never hear “I’m bored” this summer! At The Quest Summer Camp at The Sunshine House, your child will experience amazing field trips, surprise special guests, fun weekly themes and adventures, and much more. Camp also includes the Think Stretch Summer Learning Program (a parent favorite) and NFL Play 60. Get a free camper swag bag when you register!

This camp is designed for 5-12 year-olds, but junior camp is available for 4-year-olds. Full-day, part-day and drop-in programs available, space permitting. Limited spaces available; contact a school near you to get started.

What does a High Point Friends School education mean?

Friends education focuses on the belief that every individual has the “light of God within.” Teachers mentor and encourage each student to reach their potential as learners and community leaders. At High Point Friends School, they believe that students thrive in an environment that nurtures their spirits and challenges them to develop a passion and curiosity for learning. Classrooms are collaborative and creative and students are encouraged to explore ideas while developing their confidence and skills. By the time a question or theory has been explored, they have laughed, they have been frustrated, they’ve complained, they’ve questioned, and they’ve celebrated. They are encouraged by word and example to respect a variety of perspectives in a diverse learning community centered on the core Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship. Come and see classrooms in action, and discover what a High Point Friends education could mean for your child. Visit the website here for more information.

New Directory of Wineries

It’s the perfect time of year to plan a date with your significant other and visit some of our local wineries! It’s also a great idea for a Ladies’ Day Out, or even a family outing to listen to live music at one of these locations.

The Triad has an abundance of beautiful wineries in our area! We’ve chatted with our readers and compiled a list of favorites for you to enjoy.  Check out our directory here to start planning your time to “Wine Down!”

Strawberry Fields Forever

Take your family to go strawberry picking! We have compiled a list of favorite pick-your-own farms from our readers. As always, we encourage you call before you go to double check that they are open and the strawberries are ready for picking!

If you know of a farm to add, email us with the info and we can do so. In the meantime, enjoy our directory here!

Local Vacation Bible Schools

Vacation Bible Schools in the Triad teach fellowship and important life messages – all through fun games, crafts, music, and story telling.
