Join us in celebrating over 10 amazing years of service by Sanctuary House in Greensboro, NC. The mission of Sanctuary House is to facilitate the recovery and rehabilitation of adults with serious mental illness in Guilford County so that they may achieve and sustain satisfying, meaningful roles and lives in the community.

Sanctuary House was founded on the realization that recovery from serious mental illness must involve the whole person in a vital community offering respect, hope, mutuality, and unlimited opportunity to access the worlds of work, housing, education, and friendship.

Thus, Sanctuary House ensures every member…
~ A guaranteed right to a place to come.
~ A guaranteed right to meaningful work.
~ A guaranteed right to meaningful relationships.
~ A guaranteed right to a place to return. Sanctuary House opened in April 2002 and has expanded to deliver services to 75+ individuals a day. Sanctuary House services include Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Employment Support, Outpatient Therapy Services and their very own A Sweet Success! Bakery.

Sanctuary House will be celebrating over 10 years of service to the Greensboro community at their annual Musical Moods benefit fundraiser. Musical Moods will be held Saturday, March 9 at 6:30pm at Starmount Forest Country Club. Guests at the evening event will enjoy a lavish dinner and an extensive silent auction. Contributing to the evening’s enjoyment will be the mouthwatering desserts made fresh by A Sweet Success!, Sanctuary House ‘s own bakery. Additionally, guests will be present as Sanctuary House awards and inducts an amazing volunteer and donor into the 2013 Sanctuary House, Hall of Honor.

Cindy Farmer, of FOX8 News, is graciously returning as mistress of ceremonies. As Sanctuary House continues to promote mental health in our community, they are delighted by Cindy’s warm heart and giving spirit. At the 2012 event, Cindy encouraged the audience to think about our own words and actions. Also recognizing the spirit of the event, Cindy encouraged attendees to continue focusing on the strengths, talents and abilities of those individuals in our community who experience mental illness.

The March 9th evening event will be high energy and will offer live music and dancing with headlining band Walrus, who is known for their fantastic live performances. They will also offer “mystery bottle” sales from the Wall of Wine and various other high-end raffle items and fantastic finds.
