The High Point Historical Society Monthly Program Series
November 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
FreeThis month’s topic is “The Art & Architecture of Louis Francis Voorhees, Sr.,” with a presentation by Van Voorhees Trivette. Trivette, the granddaughter of L.F. Voorhees, will discuss the artist’s drawings, paintings and architectural designs, covering over 70 years of his work.
One of High Point’s principal architects during the middle of the 20th century, Voorhees left his mark on the community through his art and designs, creating a colorful mural of High Point. The Little Red Schoolhouse is among one of his designs. This historic structure, which now resides on the High Point Museum campus, also has a motivating community story to tell.
This program is free and open to the public.
